Ekiti Women Arise (EWA) my community-based organization was assessed and selected by WARDC with support from Ford Foundation to implement the project titled ‘Support to build community-level accountability mechanisms and enhance collaboration between women leaders and traditional institutions in addressing gender-based violence’ in the six (6) southwest states in Nigeria i.e., Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti. The project aims to support grassroots women’s groups.
Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC) is a non-governmental, non-profit, civil rights organization, established with a mission to promote respect for human rights, gender equality, equity, and social justice in Nigeria.

LLCI Media and Gender Programming Training for Young Women in Africa
The online media training which aim was to empower young women across African countries on how to use the media to create more awareness about Gender Based Violence and its effects employed the use of technology in establishing an inter-African connection between young women as they learn from Leading Ladies media and gender programming team.
The ongoing project has recorded success over various educative group activities among the young Women and their progress is being recorded for public information at the end of the project.
